Today, on February 23, President Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. This is the second such meeting this week.
According to the results of the meeting a state of emergency was introduced throughout Ukraine except for Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
"The decision was made. According to our legislation, the Verkhovna Rada must approve it within 48 minutes," Danilov said.
Also at the briefing, Danilov said that the curfew will be introduced depending on the situation. "To provide security if necessary it is our task", - noted Danilov.
We will remind, today on the agenda of the Rada was introduced a draft resolution on the introduction of sanctions against the deputies of the State Duma, which supported the recognition of the so-called "LDNR", as well as those who appealed to Russian President Putin to recognize them "independent".
In particular, already today the parliament has appealed to the National Security and Defense Council with a corresponding proposal. The resolution was supported by 322 MPs.
Recall, yesterday the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky recorded another video address to the Ukrainians on the recognition by Russia of the so-called "LDNR". The head of state announced his new decisions.
