Ukraine has a plan "B" if it fails to unblock the seaports - Ministry of Agrarian Policy

Ukraine is already preparing additional capacities for the storage of grain, so that in the absence of exports through the ports it would be possible to store both last year's residues and the new crop, which will be actively harvested in a month. This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

"Taking into account the transitional remnants from last year and the forecast of this year's yield, there could be a deficit in the range of 10-15 million tons. Therefore, now as a plan "B" for the storage of grain, in case it is impossible to export quickly, mobile elevator banks and sleeves are brought in to have in reserve potential equipment to store these additional tons," - said Vysotsky.

All told, there are thousands of elevator facilities distributed throughout Ukraine.

"The idea itself is important and necessary, without it we will not be able to realize the full export potential. And it is clear that for this we need to have several factors: this and enough anti-ship weapons, and ensured guaranteed military support. So work is continuing in this direction. When there are final details agreed upon by Ukraine, we can inform you," Vysotsky noted.

The Rashists are trying to cause a food crisis in the southern regions of Ukraine.

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss accused Putin of using starvation as a weapon. Russian occupiers have blocked more than 20 million tons of grain at Ukrainian ports.

According to Zelensky, Russia is trying to sell other countries the grain stolen from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
