Eurovision 2023 will be held in Great Britain on behalf of Ukraine

The European Language Union (ELU) and the BBC said that the Eurovision 2023 song contest will be held in the UK on behalf of the Ukrainian broadcaster Public Broadcasting. This was stated in the EBU.

"The Eurovision-2023 song contest will not be held in Ukraine, but in support of Ukraine. We are grateful to our BBC partners for their solidarity with us. I am confident that together we will bring Ukrainian spirit to this event and once again unite all of Europe around our common values - peace, support, diversity and talent", said the Head of the Public Broadcasting Board Mykola Chernotitsky.

Public Broadcasting will cooperate with BBC to develop and implement Ukrainian elements in the contest next year.

Ukraine will automatically get to the final as the winner of Eurovision 2022.

We shall remind you that the Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra with the song Stefania won first place at Eurovision-2022.
