Germany changes rules of stay for Ukrainians from September 1 - government decision

The Federal Council of Germany announced a decision to change the rules of stay on the territory of the country for the citizens of Ukraine from September 1, 2022.

 

According to the government's decision, from September 1, the time of stay in the country will be taken into account for Ukrainian citizens. All days of stay will be taken into account, starting from February 24. Those Ukrainians who are in Germany for more than 90 days will have to receive a temporary protection status or leave the country for the next 90 days.

 

At the same time, Ukrainians who will arrive in Germany after September 1, 2022, will also be able to legally stay in the country for 90 days without having to apply for Temporary Protected Status.

 

Registration for Ukrainian citizens will be open for the duration of the war.
