The Secretary General of the Council of Europe will speak at the summit of the Crimean Platform

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Pejchynovych Burych will take part in the Second Summit of the Crimean Platform, which will be held online on August 23. This was reported by the press service of the Council of Europe.

 

 It is noted that the Secretary General of the Council of Europe will talk about the support that the organization provides to Ukraine, will touch on the problems of human rights in Crimea after its first report on the situation with human rights in Ukraine in June this year.

 

 As you know, the summit of heads of state and government of the Crimean Platform will be held under the chairmanship of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy and will gather world leaders of states, governments, and international organizations.

 

 We will remind you that the Council of Europe does not recognize the Russian occupation of Crimea and condemns the violation of human rights on the peninsula.
