The head of the Mykolayiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, reported seven wounded, three of them children, as a result of enemy shelling of a high-rise building and private houses in Voznesensk.
"Today, the Rashists shelled the city of Voznesensk. They hit a five-story building and private houses. As of 1:00 p.m., seven people are known to be injured, three of them children. One child is currently undergoing surgery," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
Later, it became known that the number of wounded increased.
"At 1:30 p.m. 9 wounded, 4 of them children. The children are all serious. Their ages range from 3 to 17 years old," Vitaliy Kim reported.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in turn, reported the destruction and fire as a result of shelling.
"One five-story apartment building and about five one-story buildings were damaged due to the impact of ammunition and fragments from them. In the five-story building, structural elements from the first to the fifth floor were damaged, balconies collapsed, glass and windows were broken. So far, seven people are known victims, three of whom are children. They are hospitalized in medical facilities. Also, as a result of the shelling, a fire broke out on the balcony of the apartment on the fifth floor," says the message on Facebook.
The fire was extinguished on an area of 5 square meters. m.
