Stoltenberg called on NATO countries to urgently replenish their weapons stockpiles in order to continue supporting Ukraine

The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, on Tuesday convened an extraordinary meeting of the Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD) dedicated to the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine. This is reported in the press release of the Alliance.

During the meeting, the Secretary General of NATO called on the members of the Alliance to continue replenishing the stockpiles of weapons as soon as possible.

"Strengthening NATO stockpiles will ensure that we can continue to support Ukraine. We must continue to work together as NATO members, as well as with industry, to replenish our ammunition stocks and provide Ukraine with the support it needs for as long as it needs it," he said. Stoltenberg.

It is noted that the CNAD meeting discussed ways by which NATO members can better identify the lack of weapons stockpiles and jointly eliminate them.
