Zelenskiy supported the petition to ban creative activities of Russians in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy supported the petition to ban Russian citizens from performing creative professional activities in Ukraine and instructed Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to work on this issue, the website of the head of state reports.

 

 The petition received 25,588 signatures. Its author, Anastasia Klymenko, suggested banning Russians from performing creative professional activities in Ukraine.

 

 Zelenskiy replied that Russian culture is actively used by the "propaganda machine" of the aggressor state.

 

 "Our tasks are the development of a coherent national cultural space, its decolonization, the fight against pro-Russian propaganda, the cleansing of the Russian and Soviet heritage, which consolidates Russian propaganda narratives in Ukraine. Taking into account the above and with the aim of protecting national interests and the national cultural space, the Minister of Ukraine D Shmyhalu with a request to instruct, in accordance with the competence, to work out the issues raised in it, to take appropriate response measures," the president said.
