The new package of United States military aid to Ukraine includes NASAMS air defense systems and Avenger air defense systems.

 This was stated by US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, the press service of the Pentagon reports.

 "Our new package provides even more air defense capabilities to help Ukraine protect its cities and skies," he said.

 It will be recalled that yesterday the USA announced a new aid package to Ukraine in the amount of 2.5 billion dollars.

 The package also includes:

 59 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles with 590 TOW anti-tank missiles and 295,000 25 mm rounds;

 90 armored personnel carriers (APC) Stryker with 20 mine installations;

 53 mine-resistant vehicles (MRAP);

 350 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV).

 Earlier, the Congress called on Joe Biden's administration to urgently transfer to Ukraine the weapons systems necessary for defeating Russia.
