The President of the European Council arrived in Kyiv for the Ukraine-EU summit

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, arrived in Kyiv to participate in the Ukraine-EU summit.

He told about this in his social networks, adding a photo from Sofiyivska Square.

"Again in Kyiv - for the EU-Ukraine summit together with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyі, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the EU's chief diplomat Josep Borrell. Our determination will not weaken. We will also support you in every step on the way to the EU," he wrote he greets Ukrainians.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba reported that the central issue of the Ukraine-EU summit in Kyiv will be the assessment of the progress that Ukraine has already achieved and the further opening of accession negotiations, and many other topics related to Russia's war against Ukraine will also be touched upon.

We will remind, on February 2, an equally large-scale event took place in Kyiv - a joint meeting of the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission, which was attended by 16 members of the European Commission - the majority of its members - including President Ursula von der Leyen.

Such trips of the European Commission's collegium are an unprecedented event.
