The USA compensates the Czech Republic for military aid to Ukraine

The United States will give the Czech Republic an additional $200 million to modernize its army as partial compensation for equipment given to Ukraine, which was attacked by Russia.

This was stated by the new US ambassador in Prague, Bijan Sabet, CTK news agency reports.

"These funds are intended to increase the capacity of our Czech allies to deter and protect against the increased threat from Russia, as well as to replace the military capabilities that the Czech Republic has provided or will provide to Ukraine," Sabet said.

The new package of financial assistance to the Czech Republic will be given in addition to the $106 million that the United States provided last fall.

It will be recalled that the newly elected president of the Czech Republic, Petro Pavlo, said that the West should transfer all types of weapons to Ukraine, except for nuclear ones.
