Ukraine needs hundreds of thousands of drones, many of which are planned to be obtained from domestic industry. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, answering questions from Reuters.
According to him, the government currently cooperates with more than 80 Ukrainian drone manufacturers.
"Drones can potentially change the rules of the game on the battlefield in the same way that precision Western MLRS (reactive multiple launch systems, - ed.) did last year," the minister said.
He said that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukraine has increased its drone production capacity several times, and now it is capable of producing devices that operate in the air, on land and at sea. One of the areas of attention Reznikov called the development of UAVs capable of covering greater distances.
