In Ukraine, there was talk of opening the Lviv airport on the example of the grain corridor

The Lviv airport can be partially opened as a humanitarian corridor, which will be provided by the European Union.

This was stated by the head of the Lviv regional state administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, writes "Pershiy zachadnyi".

During the signing of the agreement on Ukraine's accession to the European Union's program "Mechanism for Connecting Europe", Kozytskyi said that the Ukrainian side raised the issue of opening the Lviv airport in the negotiations with the EU.

"The possible opening of the airport is one of the things we are very much looking forward to. This issue was raised, and we hope that, just like the grain corridor, there can be a humanitarian corridor that can be provided by the European Union," said the head of the OVA .

When will the airspace over Ukraine be opened?

Ukraine completely closed its airspace to civilian aircraft on February 24.

According to the report of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation, restrictions on civil aviation flights in the airspace of Ukraine will remain until 2029.

As noted in Ukraerorukh, Eurocontrol does not generate or use military forecasts, analytics or assumptions to create its forecasts. The calculations also do not include analysis of uncertainty factors and may have a negative impact on the development of aviation. At the same time, after the end of the war and reformatting of the route network, the Eurocontrol forecast will be updated using new data.

"Despite the force majeure circumstances caused by the military aggression of the Russian Federation, Ukraine is fully preparing for the resumption of flights in its airspace," the press service assured.
