KYIV (FNI)  - Ukrainian Olena Kostevych took first place in the shooting at the World Championship. Competitions on shooting from a small-caliber pistol from 25 meters took place in South Korea.

This was reported in the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

"Gold! Olena Kostevych - world champion in shooting (gun, 25 m)! Congratulations," the NOC of Ukraine reported.

Recall, Ukrainian swimmer Andriy Govorov during the final of the competition in Rome this Sunday, July 1, set a world record at a distance of 50 meters butterfly.

The result of the 26-year-old Crimean woman is 22.27 seconds. This figure is 0.16 seconds better than the previous result, belonging to the Spanish swimmer, Rafael Muñoz, who set his record in 2009.
