Kyiv: More than 50 people went missing after an oil spill and explosion occurred on the pipeline in southern Nigeria, which caused panic among the local population.
It is reported by The Guardian.
“The oil spill occurred on the morning of March 1. The Nembe oil trunk pipeline is operated by the Aiteo Group and delivers crude oil to an export terminal in the city of Bonny. The company has not yet commented on the explosion," said in a statement.
We recall that on January 18, an explosion occurred in the area of the Mexican city of Tlauelilpan and ignited at the place of an illegal tie-in to the oil pipeline.
