Kiev: Danish Foreign Affair’s Minister Jeppe Kofod, during a meeting with his
Ukrainian counterpart Vadim Priestayko, expressed support for Kiev’s position
on Nord Stream-2. According to the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affair’s Ministry, the
ministers spoke on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General
Assembly.
"An exchange of views took place regarding the
construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. A common position was
identified regarding the significant threat of this project to European
security and the environment", - the statement said.
According to the Danish minister, Copenhagen continues to
support Ukraine’s European integration course. Also, the positive position of
Denmark regarding reforms in Ukraine remains unchanged.
The foreign ministers of the two countries also discussed
steps aimed at restoring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
As you know, Denmark still has not given permission to build
a gas pipeline in its waters.
