Kiev: US State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Walker resigned.
According to CNN, Walker resigned one day after the publication of the report of the accuser, which spoke about the White House hiding the contents of the conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky
According to the channel, the State Department’s special representative helped to organize a meeting between Trump lawyer Rudolf Giuliani and Andrei Yermak, Zelensky’s assistant.

In 2017, the former U.S. representative to NATO, Kurt Walker, was appointed as envoy of the U.S. Department of State for the settlement of the conflict in the Donbass. The practice of having special representatives in different countries is common for Americans, but in the case of Ukraine such a position was created for the first time.
Walker began his career as a CIA analyst in 1986, and he soon joined the Department of State.
The White House unveiled a transcript of the July conversation between Trump and Zelensky. In it, Zelensky says, that the next prosecutor general will be "completely his man" and will deal with the Biden case.
