Small coins of 1, 2 and 5 will cease to be a way of payment in Ukraine from October 1, 2019. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the data of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Thus, the last day when small coins can be settled at retail outlets will be September 30th.
From October 1, coins will not be accepted during settlements for goods and services, and the NBU will begin to withdraw these coins from cash circulation.
At the same time, citizens will be able to exchange these coins for coins and banknotes of other denominations without restrictions and free of charge over the next three years in banks and the NBU.
