Kiev: The US Congress, still unofficially, has approved a preliminary decision on the
sale of Javelin anti-tank missile systems in the amount of $ 39 million to Ukraine.
Source: Bloomberg.
Details: The publication, citing three anonymous sources,
claims that the State Department approved, and Congress unofficially signed a
contract for the sale of weapons.
According to one official, the sale of 150 anti-tank
missiles and two additional tank installations can be reported no later than
Tuesday.
Ukraine turned to arms in the early summer of last year. In
2018, the United States sold more than 200 missiles and 37 launchers.
This agreement is not part of military assistance for
Ukraine in the amount of $ 250 million, which Congress approved earlier, the
newspaper said.
