Kiev: Due to a fire near a suburb of Los Angeles, residents of 12,000 homes received an evacuation order.

Now the fire, which the firefighters are unable to control, occupies more than 16 km and rages near the village of Sulmar, which is 46 km northwest of Los Angeles.

The fire has already destroyed several buildings, but information about the dead or wounded has not yet been reported.

“Under the cover of night, more than 800 firefighters fight the fire along with many helicopters. However, powerful winds carry sparks, quickly igniting houses and creating new fires", -the report said.

According to the calculations of the American media, about 100 thousand inhabitants live in the evacuation zone.

Recall: the American company "Pacific Gas & Electric", in an effort to prevent new forest fires in the state of California, announced a power outage that will reach 800 thousand customers.
