Kiev: A street was named in Kiev in honor of Amina Okueva, a participant in the hostilities in the Donbass, who was killed in Kiev on October 30, 2017.

This was reported in the press service of the Kiev city state administration.

“The new street in the Shevchenkovsky district (Projectnaya St. 13119) is named after Amina Okuyeva, a Ukrainian doctor, a public activist and military member of the Revolution of Dignity and War in eastern Ukraine”, - the report said.

Public discussion of the street name lasted from August 10 to October 10, 2018 on the website of the Kyiv City State Administration: 89% of those who voted supported the assignment of the street to the name of Amina Okueva.

Amina Okueva served in the ranks of the Kiev-2 police battalion. At the same time, she was the press secretary of the “International Peacekeeping Battalion named after Johar Dudayev”. Born in Odessa. For some time she lived with her family in Moscow and Chechnya. After the second Chechen war, she “fled” to Ukraine, where she voluntarily decided to go to serve in the Donbass.

Okueva also collaborated with the Crimean Tatar channel ATR, where she prepared the author’s program “Heroes of the Caucasus”, the first episode of which was shown immediately after the death of Okueva.

Her husband, Osmayev, was the leader of the Dzhokhar Dudayev peacekeeping battalion. In Russia, he is accused of attempted assassination of President Vladimir Putin.

In the evening, on October 30, 2017, near the village of Glevakh in the Kiev region, unidentified persons fired on Amina Okuyeva's car and her husband Adam Osmayev. Amin died from gunshot wounds; Adam was hospitalized with injuries.
