Tbilisi: The first case of a new coronavirus has been reported in Georgia.
Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs Ekaterine Tikaradze stated this at a briefing at the government administration.
The virus was detected by a citizen of Georgia, which entered from Iran throught Azerbaidjan yesterday. Men around 50 years old is infected.
According to him, customs officers are also taken for inspection.
The patient was taken to an infection hospital and the minister said that his life is not in danger for this time.
At the same time, according to Tikaradze, the man was taken directly from customs to the hospital and he had no contact with other Georgian citizens.
