Tbilisi: In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus and ensure the safety of civilians, along with the streets, sidewalks and bicycle lanes will be disinfected in Tbilisi.

Disinfection works were initially carried out in Pekini Avenue, Kostava and Melikishvili streets, as well as in the vicinity of Hualing settlement. The roadways, as well as sidewalks and bicycle lanes, were washed with a special solution.

"We are carrying out disinfection works throughout Tbilisi. Today we are working on three locations. These are: Pekini Avenue, Kostava Street and Varketili. The sanitation works will be continued and the rest of the streets and sidewalks of Tbilisi will also be disinfected, "said Romeo Mikautadze, Head of Tbilservice Group Ltd.

Large-scale cleaning works were carried out in several main streets in the capital city. Road washing works are on progress by Tbilservice Group stuff by a special machinery. Also, ten fire and rescue service brigades of the Emergency Management Agency are involved in this activity.

Rustaveli Avenue and Baratashvili Street are also planned to be disinfected in the nearest future, and afterwards, the rest of the streets of Tbilisi will be gradually washed away. At the same time, the bridges, ramps and waste containers will be cleaned and disinfected in the city.
