Kyiv: 19,230 cases of infection with a new type of Coronavirus infection have been recorded as of 9:00 on Wednesday, May 20, in Ukraine, according to the National Security and Defense Council.

Over the past 24 hours Ukraine recorded 354 new cases of infection with COVID-19. 

Accordingly, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 increased to 19,230 people, of which 5,955 patients were cured and another 564 died.

“According to the DSP, there were 19,230 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of 9:00 on May 20 in Ukraine. 564 of these cases were fatal and 5,955 patients recovered. 354 new cases were recorded per day,” says the report.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian government extended quarantine measures introduced in connection with the Coronavirus pandemic until June 22 in the country.
