Kyiv: Olga Stefanyshyna, who previously served as head of the government office for coordinating European and Euro-Atlantic integration, has been appointed Ukraine’s new Vice PM for European integration.
The corresponding decision was made during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Thursday, June 4.
According to Front News International correspondent, the decision to appoint Stefanyshyna was supported by 255 deputies. “Since our priorities for Euro-Atlantic integration are unchanged, we must insist that funding be commensurate with the reforms that Ukraine is introducing towards European integration,” she said during a speech in the Ukrainian parliament.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Vadim Prystaiko from the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European Integration. At the same time, the deputy head of the “Servant of the People” faction Yevhenyia Kravchuk stated that Prystaiko will be appointed ambassador of Ukraine to the UK.
