As a reminder, earlier, Naftogaz of Ukraine, which serves as a supplier of last resort (PON), proposed to automatically transfer all customers to the basic annual tariff (7.96 hryvnia). This has become possible thanks to a new law.

As the company noted, such decision for household customers who have not chosen a market supplier and receive gas from a supplier of "last resort" became possible due to the adoption of the law on the introduction of metering and calculation of gas volume in energy units on the natural gas market.

State Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" appealed to NKREKU about connecting all household customers PON on the conditions of the basic annual offer. The company expects a positive decision of the regulator.

"In the absence of support from the NKREKU since December 1, 2021, the supplier of "last hope" will be obliged to supply gas to all its customers at a price calculated by the formula," - said in the message.

In this case, the price of gas will vary daily and could be more than 30 UAH / cu.m., the company added and noted that the formula is approved by the government and does not depend on "Naftogaz.

We shall remind you that earlier Naftohaz Ukrainy state corporation, which performs the functions of "last resort" (PON) supplier, warned that the preferential price of gas at UAH 7.96 per cubic meter for household customers will only work until November 30. Prices may change as of December 1. The increase could affect 500 thousand households if they do not sign a contract with a new supplier.
