TAG agrees to return to ceasefire in Donbas

The Trilateral Contact Group agreed yesterday, December 22, to return to the observance of the ceasefire regime in Donbas. The Ukrainian side welcomes this decision of the TCG. This is reported by the OSCE and the Ministry of Defense.

 

"At today's meeting of the TAG with the participation of representatives of the ORDLO the priority was given to security issues and, in particular, the observance of the ceasefire. I was pleased that the participants expressed their determination to fully comply with the agreement to strengthen the ceasefire of July 22, 2020," said OSCE Mikko Kinunen.

 

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry and Armed Forces responded to the TAG agreement.

 

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces assure regarding their position to consistently and strictly observe the ceasefire stipulated by the aforementioned measures, including with regard to the terms of opening fire in response," the Ministry of Defense noted.
