Russia sends another "humanitarian convoy" to ORLO - Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its strong protest in connection with the continuation by the Russian Federation of the unlawful practice of sending so-called "humanitarian convoys" to the territory of Ukraine.

"On December 23, Russia once again ignored earlier repeated warnings of Ukraine and without its official consent, in violation of Ukrainian legislation, conditions and modalities of delivery of humanitarian aid, illegally sent to the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions the 105th so-called "humanitarian convoy" of the Russian Federation. The transfer took place through the non-government-controlled section of the Ukrainian border, through the Russian border checkpoints "Donetsk" and "Matveev Kurgan," - stated in the published commentary of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that this made it impossible for the mandatory registration by representatives of the border and customs authorities of Ukraine, which is stipulated by the Ukrainian legislation.

In this connection, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sent a note of protest to the Russian Foreign Ministry demanding that the Russian Federation stop committing illegal actions against the sovereignty of our state and strictly observe international law and Ukrainian legislation.

On December 23, the website of the so-called DNR Ministry of Health posted information about the arrival of the 105th humanitarian convoy from Russia, which delivered medications and medical supplies.

Some media reported that the humanitarian aid included more than 270,000 doses of the Sputnik Light coronavirus vaccine.
