The U.S. has allocated nearly $25 million to Ukraine. They will go to the security of the borders with Russia and Belarus

The State Border Service of Ukraine has registered the project of the international technical assistance worth 20m dollars. It is the aid from the USA. This is reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service.

 

This aid will be aimed at the security of the northern and eastern borders of Ukraine, said the head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Sergei Deineko.

 

The project will start in January and will be implemented within a year. The amount of the agreed financing is $20 million. It will help to meet the priority needs of the border units:

 

modern means of video fixation,

 

unmanned complexes,

 

individual protection for border guards,

 

ensuring their location in the field,

 

reinforcement with vehicles and communication means.

 

All border guard detachments performing tasks on the border with Russia and Belarus will receive this.

 

In addition, another project has been recently registered. Our partners will help Ukraine develop border infrastructure. In particular, it will help to build up the agency's capabilities in border management and the development of remote surveillance systems. The amount of funding has been agreed at 4.5m dollars.
