Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Goes to NATO Headquarters Again

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishina will visit the NATO headquarters again on Thursday. This is reported by the press service of the Alliance, writes UNN.

"On Thursday, January 20, 2022, NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea João will meet with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishina at NATO headquarters in Brussels," the statement said.

It is reported that the event will be available to the media. The time of the meeting and topics of discussion have not been reported yet.

It should be noted that a little more than a week ago Stefanishina participated in a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Commission instead of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

Following its results, she said that all NATO allies confirmed that there were "red lines" which could not be crossed in the dialogue with Russia, in particular the issue of Ukraine's membership in the alliance.

Ukrainian authorities and Western partners have been drawing attention for the past several months to Russia's worsening security situation in Donbas, Russia's build-up of forces along the Ukrainian border, the danger of a new Russian invasion, and the intensification of Russian disinformation.

Putin's main demand is for guarantees from the U.S. and its allies that NATO will not expand further east and deploy weapons systems that Russia considers a threat there.
