Saakashvili sang the Ukrainian anthem in court and talked about his secret meetings with Lukashenko in London

Today, February 9, in Tbilisi City Court held a meeting on the case of embezzlement of budgetary funds, which accuses the third president of Georgia, head of the Executive Committee of reforms Mikheil Saakashvili. It was reported by the Georgian Online edition.

At the beginning of the session, Saakashvili unrolled the flag of Ukraine, which, according to him, was sent to him by Ukrainian MPs, the edition notes.

Saakashvili's sweetheart, Ukrainian MP from the "Servant of the People" Yelizaveta Yasko posted a video on Facebook, which shows the politician singing the Ukrainian anthem. The audience cheered him on.

"Today, Mikhail Saakashvili in support of Ukraine and the Ukrainians during the next court session sang the national anthem of Ukraine with the flag in his hands and the call "Glory to Ukraine!" Other people present in the hall supported this performance as a sign of solidarity," Yasko wrote.

Also Ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili told at the trial about secret meetings with Alexander Lukashenko in London.

"I had four secret meetings with Lukashenko in London. This is the first time I'm telling you about it. It was secret diplomacy. The fact that Lukashenko still has not recognized South Ossetia and Abkhazia is the result of my trips to London," Saakashvili said.

Earlier, in an interview with Vladimir Solovyov for the YouTube channel "Solovyov Live," Lukashenko, whom the West does not recognize as the legitimately elected president of Belarus, said that he did not rule out the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

According to him, as soon as he understands the necessity of this step and Russian President Vladimir Putin tells him about it, then it may happen. Regarding the recognition of Crimea as a part of Russia, Lukashenko explained his previously stated position that he was ready to do it when the last oligarch in Russia recognizes Crimea and starts supplying products there.

Abkhazia took a positive view of Lukashenko's words, while the Georgian Foreign Ministry said that considering the bilateral relations between Belarus and Georgia, the issue of recognizing the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia was not on the agenda.

The Kremlin will not send any signals to Alexander Lukashenko about recognizing the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, as well as Crimea as a Russian region, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
