Georgia will not impose economic sanctions against Russia - Prime Minister

Georgia does not intend to impose economic sanctions against the Russian Federation. Allegedly, this is in the interests of the country and its people. Novosti-Georgia writes about it.

"Once again I want to explain. There will be no imposition of economic sanctions by Georgia against Russia. We, our team, are proceeding from the national interests of our country, the interests of our people," Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said.

According to Garibashvili, there have been military conflicts on the territory of the country three times in the last 30 years, so Georgia should not be cautious.

"Our policy is focused on peace. We want peace, stability and development. Our country needs that today; no one needs war. Any patriotic ruler should do everything to avoid war," the prime minister added.
