Slovak Economy Minister Richard Sulik suggested the possibility of paying for gas from Russia in rubles. This is reported by SME.sk.

The minister said on Slovak television that he was ready to change the terms of the contract for the supply of natural gas from Russia.

"If Russia sets a condition for payment for gas supplies in rubles - we must pay in rubles," said Sulik.

The economy minister added that it is impossible to stop the export of Russian gas to Slovakia. Russia provides 85% of the country's gas needs. According to Sulik, Slovak authorities "will adhere to a pragmatic position" in this matter.
