Russians set up a channel for smuggling subsanctioned goods through Georgia - Intelligence

The Russians are establishing a channel for smuggling subsanctioned goods through the territory of Georgia. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in its Facebook page.

"Due to the imposition of international sanctions, Russia has lost the opportunity to supply a large range of military, dual and civilian goods. To circumvent the sanctions, Russian agents set up smuggling channels, which pass, in particular, through the territory of Georgia. At the same time, representatives of Georgian special services have been instructed by the political leadership not to hinder the activities of smugglers," reads the statement.

According to the GUR, another channel for supply of military goods to Russia is known today - from East Asia. Equipment parts, electronics and optical devices are supplied to the occupying country through this channel.

They are also considering the possibility of resuming air links between Georgia and Russia.
