Podolyak: the war will end with direct negotiations between Zelensky and Putin

Russia's war against Ukraine may be ended by direct negotiations between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. This was reported by advisor to the head of the presidential office Mykhaylo Podolyak in the air of the national telethon.

According to him, the position of the Ukrainian side in these negotiations should be strong.

"This is what the team of lawyers, consultants and the negotiating team from the Ukrainian side is working on today. Accordingly, we hope that the position of President Vladimir Zelensky will be extremely strong in these negotiations," he said.

According to Podolyak, we need to wait for the situation in eastern Ukraine to develop and assess how serious the offensive may be.

"They have enough resources, they have enough missiles, they continue to bomb our cities, unfortunately. They still have manpower and equipment that they don't mind destroying in our fields. Therefore, let's wait for some time, and then we will be able to judge the positions of the parties, first of all, of the President of Ukraine, at the upcoming bilateral meetings," said the advisor to the head of the UOC.

He also stressed that in the next week or a week and a half it will be clear how events will develop.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine have no other way than to win tactical victories in the east of the country today. It is fundamentally important that we remain free, not live in a camp," Podolyak summarized.
