Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The speech was devoted to the situation in Ukraine due to the war unleashed by Russia.

Brute force seeks nothing but conquest. And it does not discuss, but kills, as Russia does in Ukraine.

We have stopped the Russian army and are gradually pushing the occupiers off our land, but would we have had to do it if they had listened to us and imposed sanctions against Russia as recently as last year?
Don't wait for the fatal shots, defend your freedom to the maximum at once. That's what sanctions should be - maximum. And there are still no such sanctions against Russia.
A precedent must be set for the complete withdrawal of businesses from the Russian market. Values should matter. We suggest that every company that exits the Russian Federation should continue operations in Ukraine.
We offer the world to create a precedent of rebuilding the country after the war. I invite you to take part in this reconstruction.
Humanity must have insurance against hunger, and Ukraine is ready to provide a platform for such an organization.
Weapons, finances, political support, sanctions against Russia, if we got them for 100% of our need, also immediately in February, the result would be tens of thousands of lives saved. That's why Ukraine needs the weapons we request, not just the ones we are given.
To guarantee peace and tranquility, we must act quickly and not be afraid to set new precedents.
War can happen again, I'm sure of it. We must make sure that people and businesses are not afraid to develop in our country. Our task is to make the most modern air defense system, to have a security treaty with the countries we trust, so that any chance of an aggressor to invade in the future is stopped.
We remind you that the economic forum that started yesterday in Davos will take place for the first time in 35 years without the participation of Russian representatives. In total more than 2.5 million people including almost 50 world leaders will take part in the events. The central theme is "Turning Point in History: Public Policies and Business Strategies".
