Washington is working on a new package of sanctions against Russia together with the governments of the G7 countries. This was announced by Senior Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Derek Hogan.

It was reported by the Wilson Center.

"We are working very actively on how we can strengthen our sanctions package. We are doing this in close coordination with the G7 member states," Hogan said.
