Macron and Scholz discuss aid to Ukraine and EU energy independence in Paris

"Thank you very much for the invitation, dear Emmanuel Macron," Scholz wrote in French on Twitter. "Whether the G7 meeting in Elmau or the NATO summit or Paris, it is good that we continue to exchange views on the many important topics of the day," he added.

 

This meeting between Macron and Scholz in Paris is the second official event of its kind in the French capital since Olaf Scholz took over as German chancellor in December 2021.
