Belarus threatens to attack Poland in case of "provocations of the West"

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Major-General Ruslan Kosygin said that in case of "provocations of the West," Belarusian troops will strike, above all, the infrastructure of Poland. This is reported by BELTA.

"The territory of Poland, as well as the Baltic States, however, turns into a firing range, where the U.S. plans to unleash another bloody conflict in Europe against the Russian Federation and its allies," said Kosygin.

He noted the military exercises as well as "attempts of some Polish politicians to initiate the return of the so-called original Polish lands, which means the western regions of Ukraine and Belarus."

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus called all this "preparation for military operations in the eastern direction" against the background of "degradation of the Western European countries and their actual loss of independence in decision-making.

"At the same time - and this should be primarily understood by the Polish leadership - in case of a conflict Poland's territory with its military infrastructure becomes the first priority object of attack, namely decision-making centers, control system elements, permanent deployment of national armed forces, arsenals and bases, as well as critical facilities of their economy and transport infrastructure," said Kosygin.

He summed up that "in the West we must clearly understand that our response to any armed provocations will definitely be adequate and tough.
