Verkhovna Rada to adopt by the end of the year the laws necessary to begin negotiations on accession to the EU - Stefanchuk

The Verkhovna Rada will pass all laws necessary for the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union by the end of this year. About it the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said on Facebook.

"By the end of the year the parliament will adopt the necessary laws necessary for the start of negotiations on accession to the European Union. The main activity on the European integration track in the session hall will begin in September. We clearly know how we can fulfill the seven requirements, which Ukraine received almost a month ago", - said the speaker.

According to him, the Verkhovna Rada is preparing the necessary list of bills. In particular, we are talking about the reform of the Constitutional Court, namely the introduction of a competitive system of selection.

"We must integrate international standards on the issue of combating money laundering, amend the law on oligarchs, etc.", - added Stefanchuk.

He stressed that the parliament is in close cooperation with the Office of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers and the parliaments of European countries.

"What is important for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine? Then not to re-vote. Quality comes first. Effectiveness comes next. No one needs reforms on paper", - said the head of the Verkhovna Rada.
