Russian Ministry of Defense "announced" a terrorist attack on the UAF during the UN Secretary General's visit to Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukraine is preparing a high-profile provocation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP on the occasion of the visit of UN Secretary General António Guterres. Russia says that the "terrorist attack JL" is planned for Friday, August 19.

RBC-Ukraine reports about it with reference to the statement of the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov.

"On August 19, the Kyiv regime is preparing a high-profile provocation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP during the visit of UN Secretary General António Guterres to Ukraine, as a result of which Russia will be blamed for creating a man-made disaster at this power plant," he said.

Konashenkov is convinced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery is allegedly planning to launch strikes on the territory of the WEU from belligerent positions located in Nikopoli. At the same time, the units of the 704th regiment of the radio-chemical and biological defense troops of the AFU are allegedly preparing to concentrate in the area of the Zaporizhzhya NPP in order "to be ready to fix the fact of the accident at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, as well as to conduct a set of measures to demonstrate the possible liquidation of the consequences of this accident".

At the same time, the representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that Russian important armaments are not present on the territory of the WEU or in the areas adjacent to it.

We would like to remind you that the UN is ready to support the IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhya NPP from Kyiv, if Ukraine and Russia agree to it.

At the same time, the Russian Federation threatened the IAEA delegation with an unsafe trip to Zaporizhzhya NPP via the capital.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said that the IAEA mission should reach the NPP only through the territory controlled by Ukraine.
