The Russian occupiers have increased the number of roadblocks in the Kherson region after announcing a mass "evacuation" due to an alleged possible "strike" by the Ukrainian military in the region.

 Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Yury Sobolevsky reported this in Telegram.

 "The occupying power increased the number of checkpoints and tightened control over the existing ones," he said.

 Also, according to his information, the occupiers plan to use the housing of people who are leaving.

 "For this, everyone who is being evacuated must specify the address of their last place of residence," added Sobolevsky.

 "Evacuation" of occupiers from Kherson and the region

 On October 19, the so-called "head" of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, announced a ban on entry into the Kherson region in the next 7 days due to the alleged "preparation by Kyiv of a massive missile attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP dam." Referring to this, the occupiers started sending SMS messages about "evacuation" to local residents.

 In Ukraine, it has not been ruled out that Russia is probably preparing provocations on the territory of Kherson and the region. The Russian occupiers may be shelling the city and the region themselves, blaming it on the Armed Forces. In this regard, residents of Kherson and the region are asked to prepare shelters due to possible provocations by the Russian military. Citizens were also urged to stock up on water and food for several days.

 The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, said that the occupiers want to intimidate the residents of Kherson region with reports of "evacuation" and "strike" by the Armed Forces, but this tactic is quite primitive.

 In his turn, the advisor of the Office of the President, Oleksiy Arestovych, said that the Russian occupiers may evacuate from Kherson in order to save the infantry for the battles for the Donetsk region or to withdraw key personnel from the attacks to hold the bridgehead on the eve of decisive battles.
