The First Lady of Ukraine and King Charles III met with Ukrainian refugees in London

The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska met with Ukrainian forced refugees in London. The meeting took place in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Cathedral, and His Majesty King Charles III was also present at it. This was reported by Telegram Zelenska.

"On every trip, it is very important for me to meet Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes. Ask what we can do to make your stay abroad easier. Just to hear your people, because it is always so touching and emotional: your own," she wrote.

Zelenska noted that a unique hub was established in the cathedral in August of this year: The Ukrainian Welcome Centre. It is here that they help to decide on accommodation, get settled and make connections.

"Ukraine receives constant support from Great Britain in virtually all humanitarian areas. Medical equipment, fire engines and ambulances, restoration of infrastructure, including railway and energy infrastructure, support for educators - we have help everywhere. And today, meeting with Ukrainians, I am once again convinced: our people were sheltered by friends, whose welcome comes from the bottom of my heart," she added.
