The President of Serbia named the countries that withdrew the recognition of Kosovo's independence

Serbian President Oleksandr Vucic said that official Belgrade faces difficult challenges regarding Kosovo, and noted that nine countries have withdrawn recognition of its independence.

 This is reported by Danas.

According to Vučić, currently 106 countries do not recognize Kosovo's independence, while 84 do.

He said that nine countries had withdrawn their recognition of Kosovo, namely: Somalia, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Eswatini, Libya, Guinea, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia and the Maldives, and that "we are waiting for the tenth country".

He emphasized that Belgrade did not make a single incident or unilateral step and that, according to him, "the world barely managed to be saved."

"We have never provoked anyone, except some say that we do not feel our citizens as fellow citizens or Kosovo and Metohija as our territory," said Vucic.

He also stated that official Belgrade would continue its struggle and that, he said, he would always want peace with the Albanians.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic announced on January 3 that another country - the tenth since 2020 - has withdrawn its decision to recognize Kosovo.
