The EU is expected to praise Ukraine for its progress in reforms related to the path to EU membership and to confirm that the future of Ukraine and its citizens lies in the EU. But the opinions of the member states, as before, differ on the speed of accession. This is reported by EURACTIV with reference to the draft final communique of the Ukraine-EU summit in its current form.

 It is reported that according to the draft communique, the leaders of the EU and Ukraine intend to confirm that "the future of Ukraine and its citizens lies in the European Union" and "their commitment to supporting Ukraine's further European integration."
