Russia continues to block the presence of the UN in the occupied territories

The UN mission sends weekly requests to the Russian authorities for permission to cross the line of contact to provide aid to civilians in the temporarily occupied territories, but the Russian side continues to block its presence. Denise Brown, coordinator of the UN system in Ukraine, informed about this.

"Every week we send requests to two parties. Ukraine always gives permission, but Russia says "no". Two things always worry me: preparing for winter and crossing the front line. But we cannot be responsible for this. Unfortunately, there are no results in this case yet," said Denise Brown.

At the same time, the coordinator noted the success in the case of sending the UN mission to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, which Ukraine had been asking for for a long time.
