Zelenskyі: I think the Georgian authorities intend to kill Saakashvili

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyі believes that the Georgian authorities intend to kill the former Georgian president and current citizen of Ukraine Mikheil Saakashvili.

As Zelenskyі told journalists at a press conference with Austrian President Oleksandr Van der Bellen in Kyiv, he was given photos of Mikheil Saakashvili's current condition before the meeting.

"Once upon a time he was the president of Georgia. Mikheil Saakashvili. They (photos - IF-U) were given by David Arahamia. I would like you to see what he looks like," said the president of Ukraine, publicly presenting the photo.

"I believe that today the government of Georgia - what they are doing: they are killing him. You know that they poisoned him and now, forgive him, they are killing him little by little," he emphasized.

In this regard, Zelenskyі asked: "Georgia, its leadership - are they for someone today?". "Are they neutral or are they for Russia? Because Russia treats its politicians in the same way as today the leadership of Georgia treats not its politicians, but the citizens of Ukraine. And so once again: are they neutral? Are they for Russia? Or are they just against Ukraine, etc.?" - said the president.

At the same time, he noted that Ukraine treats the issue of neutrality of one or another state with great respect, but is misunderstanding Georgia's similar attitude towards Saakashvili.

"I would like the press to see what is happening: the public torture of a citizen of Ukraine. I am not discussing the issue of why the former president of Georgia was arrested, what are the consequences of this for the politics and democracy of Georgia. This is their internal issue. I am talking about the arrest of the citizen of Ukraine Mikheil Saakashvili , who is publicly tortured every day. And I think that they intend to kill him," Zelenskyі summarized.
