"According to officials, Moscow provided Iran with weapons captured on the battlefield in Ukraine, which they are trying to reconstruct," the publication writes.

They also note that Russia and Iran continue to develop closer ties in various directions. The two countries recently connected their interbank payment messaging systems, opening the way for all Iranian banks to deal with Russian lenders.

In addition, as the United States warned, Iran agreed to provide Moscow with ballistic missiles. However, there is no indication yet that Tehran has sent missiles to Russia.

It will be recalled that it was reported that Moscow and Tehran are making progress in the implementation of plans to build a plant for the production of Iranian drones in Russia. It is planned to manufacture at least 6,000 drones for the war in Ukraine.

Earlier it became known that the Russian Federation concluded a non-public agreement with Iran regarding the start of production of attack drones on Russian territory.
