"We do not rule out any scenarios," the head of the Donetsk RSA outlined the situation in Bakhmut

In the situation around Bakhmut, Donetsk region, any scenarios are not excluded. However, Ukrainian fighters are currently doing everything to prevent the city from being captured by the occupiers.

This was reported by the head of Donetsk RSA, Pavlo Kyrylenko, in an interview with Radio Svoboda.

"We do not rule out any scenarios. But we are acting exclusively vertically. All military personnel are on the lines of defense. And all maximum measures are being taken to prevent this from happening," Kyrylenko said in response to a question about whether he was preparing for a possible capture of Bakhmut by the Russians troops

According to the head of RSA, now Bakhmut is holding on.

"But, of course, taking into account the fact that for the Armed Forces, for the military command, the protection of the native land, territories, state sovereignty is certainly the highest priority, but at the same time we understand that the life and health of our defenders is one of the main priorities Therefore, sorry, no one will use defenders as cannon fodder," Kyrylenko noted.

He emphasized that everything possible is currently being done to destroy the enemy as much as possible so that his offensive dust is extinguished.

Kyrylenko also commented on the enemy's plans to capture the Donetsk region by March, noting that the enemy should not be underestimated.

"The enemy tried to reach the border of the Luhansk region in May and capture the entire Donetsk region by July at the latest. The task was to capture Bakhmut as soon as possible (and after that they were already quite blurred) - this is September 2022. I presented the facts." - said Kyrylenko.

The head of the Donetsk region added that he expects to "concentrate efforts as much as possible" on defensive fortifications, to conduct "clear, coordinated, coordinated action" with the military command in order to protect the region.

"And I will say that the plans that were for the month of July, the month of September... The larger territory of Donetsk region was occupied. Taking into account the de-occupation of the Lymansk and Sviatohirsk communities, currently under the control of Ukraine, the Ukrainian authorities, the Armed Forces, in the first place - almost 52% Donetsk region. That's why we will stand as long as necessary on our land," Kyrylenko concluded.

We will remind that Bakhmut remains one of the hot spots of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Currently, in their intention to capture the city, the occupiers are trying to cut off the supply routes to Bakhmut for the Ukrainian fighters.

In addition, earlier the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that Bakhmut is holding on, literally, like a fortress and described the situation around the city.
