An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 occurred in the Pacific Ocean near the Kuril Islands. This is reported by the Kamchatka branch of the FSBUN FITC "Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences".

 It is reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 42 km and at a distance of 189 km from North Kurilsk. The earthquake had a magnitude of 5.8.

 It is noted that the residents of Kamchatka felt the tremors at 6:45 p.m. local time, at 8:45 a.m. Kyiv time.
